Two years ago I envisaged a fairly rapid build. Today I renewed the reservation of the registration letters for another two years. Delta Echo is still Delta Echo.
We are back in business.
Pending Christmas present to myself: After some deep thought about pre-rotators, batteries, soft-start circuits & solenoids, I have done an end-run around the issue and ordered a recoil-prerotator from StarBee. I'm not entirely comfortable with writing off the electric beastie, but then again this wasn't available when that was ordered; I can downsize the aircraft battery considerably; and the savings in weight and complexity ARE compelling.
Also acquired the necessary epoxy & bits to put a nice smooth leading edge on the horizontal stabilisers, which currently resemble the product of a toasted-sandwich machine.
Decided it was time to stop messing around with a "reserved" registration mark, and actually register ZK-RDE as an aircraft, as God intended.
