Drilled, rough-cut, and started filing the engine bearer struts.
Finished the LH diagonal strut.

Did some more work on the LH strut - part of the angle is cut away to provide clearance for the undercarriage bungees. There's an inside corner involved, and I wasn't happy with it. This evening I widened the radius and then blended the adjacent edges back into the corner.
No building till next week - company Christmas get-together in Sydney :) :)
Today I transferred the funds to StarBee for a pair of 23' Dragon Wings, to get the blades ordered before the price jumps. This was an excruciatingly difficult process which should have taken 5 minutes, involving 4 long queues, the local post office, their computer, Western Union, and my bank's electronic-transfer limits. All compounded by a hideous cold/sore throat/headache combination.
Today I acquired an early Christmas present, a small bench grinder. This will hopefully take some of the drudgery out of the rough filing.
Fired up the grinder with a view to attacking the engine bearer. Concluded very rapidly that some sort of ear protection is needed.
Transferred the funds to StarBee for pretty much the rest of the aircraft, exluding engine & prop: Mast/keel/tail boom, rotor head, pre-rotator, cyclic, wheels, brackets/fasteners/saddles/rod-ends, airfoil tail section, seat, etc.
On holiday, transiting through Tauranga. Checked, but no confirmation that anything's yet been shipped.
