Another wet weekend, confined inside... so back on the stabilisers, which have to be sorted out prior to the hang test. The chopped strand mat used to the derive the leading edge curve has voids & pinprick holes in it; also the RH stabiliser didn't turn out quite the way I wanted it to - the leading edge is rather blunter in places than it ought to be. The cure (I hope) is to butter up the edge with a very thick (and hence easily sanded) mixture of epoxy and milled glass fibre; let it cure, sand and repeat. Suspect might use actual fairing compound for the final stage.
When this is all over I am never going anywhere near composite parts ever again...
